QUEEN JASMINE ANN KA WAI YURI NIP
MISS ASIA HONOLULU 2012

Jasmine was born in Honolulu and is the daughter of Gary and Joyce nip. She is a graduate of Maryknoll High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she received her Bachelor of Science in Travel Industry Management and a Master of Human Resource Management. Jasmine is employed at Waikiki Business Plaza as a Human Resources Generalist. Her goal is to one day own her own staffing agency and use it as a medium to help people find their dream job. Her interests include traveling to new destinations, dancing the hula, sing, reading, cooking, yoga, learning foreign languages and participating in community service. She thanks her family and friends for their undying love and support throughout her journey. As MAH she is looking forward to going to events, making new friends, and sharing Asian culture.

Her platform is promoting cultural awareness and community service. She mentions, starting my pageant journey, I learned that we must be proud and continue to promote the Asian culture that has nurtured and shamed us to be the person we are today. Growing up in a family that is very involved in the community, like the Lions club, has taught me that when you have the means to, you should give back to the communities we live in. She plans to use her platform to go out in the community and give back.
